Itinerary

Prison islands (This island also known as changuu island)

After pick up from your hotel, you will walk towards the stone town shore where you will take a 25mins boat trip to prison island.

The name can be intimidating but there is a lot to learn on the history of the island and how they used to house rebellious slaves on the island. however, It’s now a peaceful sanctuary for this vulnerable species, you will see giant old tortoise some over 150 years’ old, some peacocks.

You will then head to the waters for a swim, snorkeling or just relaxing at the beach

Afterwards will take a boat trip back to stone town & walk back to your hotel

Tip: be sure to visit the forodhani gardens (just at the stone town shore) later on as a seafood market opens as the sun sets, in the situation you arrive back late from prison island you will surely visit the forodhani seafood market before heading to your hotel.
