Overview

The Jozani Forest is a conservation area established in the 1960s in the core of Zanzibar Island. Covering an area of 50 square kilometers, this reserve also includes a section of the Jozani chakwa bay national park is famous for the rare red colobus monkeys, you can also expect to see bush baby, different species of birds and butterflies. Walking through the forest, See the Mangrove Swamp is adventurous and something not to miss

Flexible start time not later than 13:30, head on this 3 hour guided tour in johzani forest, it contains about 100 tree species from a total of 43 families.

The forest has over 2,512ha that includes the whole ground water forest, coral rag forest & salt marsh area

Later on head back to your hotel

Tip: best to combine this with a stone town tour/ spice tour or while on transit heading to paje to avoid doing a detour and save time
